PREP & CLEAN SURFACES
  • • Sand and clean wood surfaces.
  • • Remove old finishes by using chemical stripper, scrapers and sandpaper as needed.
  • • Wear protective gloves, respirator, eyewear and apparel.

APPLYING WOOD STAIN
  • • Shake or stir stain thoroughly prior to and during use.
  • • Test stain color on an inconspicuous area or similar piece of wood.
  • • Grain, wood type and topcoat will cause varying results.
  • • Apply TrueTone® T-510 WATER-BASED WOOD STAIN using a nylon/polyester brush, pad or rag in the direction of the grain.
  • • To achieve a deep rich color, donít wipe-off stain and allow to dry.
  • • Two or more coats will deepen the color.
  • • Allow 2 hours to dry between coats or before applying topcoat

APPLYING SANDING SEALER
  • • Allow stain to completely dry.
  • • Apply thin even coat of TrueTone® T-595 WATER-BASED SANDING SEALER using a nylon/polyester or foam brush.
  • • Avoid puddling, overbrushing and overlapping.
  • • Allow 2 hours for dry time before topcoat.
  • • Sand lightly with a fine grit (150 Ė 220 grit) sand paper.
  • • Remove all dust with a water dampened cloth.

APPLYING CLEAR TOPCOAT FINISH
  • • DO NOT SHAKE.
  • • Stir thoroughly prior to and during use.
  • • Test topcoat on an inconspicuous area to ensure color accuracy. Clear finishes may slightly darken appearance of stain color.
